Dr. Berg discussed a simple test to know if you are dehydrated or not. Sodium is the most of the driving force of what maintains or what determines the volume fluid of the body or the extracellular fluid volume. Too much sodium in the body is called edema or swelling. The simple test to know if you are low is sodium is by pinching the skin for a couple of seconds and look at how fast it comes back to normal or measuring the skin turgor. The longer it takes to come back the more dehydrated you are.

Too Much Sodium Related Condition:
• Edema (Swelling)
• Cardiovascular Disease
• Ascites – The gut is fluid-filled.
• Kidney Disease

Low in Sodium Symptoms:
• Dehydration
• Low Blood Pressure – There isn’t enough pressure to drive nutrients into the body.
• Low Nutrients
• Low Oxygen – not getting the circulation to the different parts of the body.
• Hyponatremia – Low sodium because of drinking excessive amounts of water.

• Severe Adrenal
