Nutritional Yeast Tablets:

In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the intermittent fasting and how to improve mental clarity. One key part is called hippocampus, its Greek word means “Sea Horse” because of how it looks. It is intimately involved in learning, memory and spatial navigation. Spatial Navigation is the ability to locate yourself in the environment.

Improved Hippocampus Benefits:
• Ability to Learn
• Increase the Synapses – Regrow Nerve Cells
• Slows Aging
• Improves Memory
• Improves Emotional State
• Improves Spatial Navigation

What Causes Damage to the Hippocampus:
• Stress – High Levels of Cortisol
• Vitamin B1 Deficiencies (Memory loss is one of the side effects)
• High levels of sugar and insulin

High Levels of Cortisol and High Levels of Sugar/ Insulin can deplete vitamin B1. Vitamin B1 is vital in allowing the hippocampus to work correctly. Nutritional Yeast is the best source of vitamin B1.

How to Improve Hippocampus:
1. Nutritional Yeast
2. Aerobic Exercise
3. Long walks
4. Getting a lot of oxygen
5. Low stress

Intermittent Fasting:
• Start with 3 meals a day and No snacks
• Snacking completely destroys the benefits of Intermittent Fasting
• Add Fat to the Meal
• Overtime, gradually knock out your breakfast
• Don’t eat if you are not hungry
• 2 Meals a Day: Gradually shrink the distance between the 2 meals from 8 hours to 4.

Hey Guys! Today we are going to talk about Intermittent Fasting and how to improve mental clarity and your mental sharpness. Now there are some really cool research with doing intermittent fasting and improving certain parts of the brain. I am going to put some links down below. One key part is something called the hippocampus, you have two of them in the left and right side of your brain. The Greek word of hippocampus means “sea horse” because it looks like a sea horse. But it is intimately involved with learning, memory and spatial navigation. What is that mean? It means your ability to locate yourself in your environment. It sort of like a GPS so to speak. People with dementia from alzheimer’s have very difficult time finding out where they are in a certain environment. They kind of get lost in the parking lot, its kind of like they have loss their GPS. So by improving your hippocampus, you can increase your ability to learn, you can actually increase the synapses in your brain and you can actually regrow your nerve cells, you can slow down the aging process, you can improve your memory and you can sometimes improve your emotional state because hippocampus is sometimes similar to relay switch with different emotions and definitely improve your ability to find yourself in your environment. Now it is interesting that in animal studies, if you damage the hippocampus, that animal could become hyperactive and they have difficulty in learning. Sound familiar with kids, right? The question is what causes damage to this part of your brain. Stress, high levels of cortisol.
